Creating a sense of purpose through caring
Making the orphanage sustainable is a great way to ensure that there is a means to provide food for the children beyond the assistance of the foundation.
This gives the children a sense of purpose in relation to helping take care of the animals and to show them how this can provide a reward for them in the form of eggs and milk.
The orphanage now has an ostrich, chickens, rabbits, geese and a goat. One ostrich egg can make an omelette for four children!
