Building teamwork and a place to play
Football is a really enjoyable pastime for the children at the orphanage.
To make sure the children have something productive to put their energy to, they are taken for football training sessions weekly where they can enjoy and learn new skills together away from the orphanage. This gives them a sense of team spirit and also is great for their physical education.
To raise their spirits when the foundation was first formed, a brand new Samsung TV set was hung on the wall for them to watch their countries team play. Needless to say the children were elated and thoroughly enjoyed being able to watch the game.
A long standing supporter of the foundation (Lansafe Ltd) sponsored new kit for the boys to wear to their sessions so they really look the part in their team colours now.
The grass land area outside the orphanage was in need of a good cut when the foundation first started to help. Lawnmowers where brought in and the entire area cut to enable to children to play team sports and enjoy the outside. This also massively improved their health as it almost completely eliminated the mosquito problem plaguing the children.
